Life is fickle; we all have dreams, aspirations to achieve better, or desires that push us towards a path where we are happy. But the world isn’t always kind to us, nor are our brains. We can sometimes feel bogged down by negative energies, thoughts of failure, or poor feelings of self-worth. We know we can do things, we know we can achieve our goals, but social media and the news sometimes makes us feel our self-worth is not a valuable commodity.
But this self-loathing, this feeling of worthlessness changes in 2023, as I am excited to share a little with you about an event I get to capture, and tell stories through powerful images of people who want to change. It’s an event like no other, that aims to transform your mindset, your focus, and as quoted:
Let me introduce you to Intus Events
Intus Events is run by two Peterborough based entrepreneurs, Paul Kilby of Red Promotions, and Arup Biswas of Absolutely Write, these two dynamic individuals have teamed up and formed a company that want to help encourage business think and act as if, there goal is to change business mindsets, there goal is to encourage you to visualise yourself, capture your determination of your growth and think of the future.
About The Event
At this unique event, you’ll act, speak, and dress as if it’s the future and you’ve achieved your goals and are who you want to be – from a successful business leader to a best-selling author to someone whose met their soul mate, to simply being a more positive and happier person.
You’ll walk down a red carpet, enjoy cocktails and canapes, and talk about your (future) success with like-minded people. This immersive experience embeds more than just a vision of your future self in your mind; it associates your future success with positive feelings from all your senses, boosting your confidence and motivation and giving you the belief and focus to become who you want to be.
‘Acting As If’ has been a growing trend particularly in the US where it is promoted by leading motivational speakers and authors such as Jack Canfield, and more and more people are embracing it. They are choosing to not focus negatively on the stuff they can’t control, but instead look to the future, what can they do, what can they achieve, and visualise what their life will look like in the years ahead.
My Role At The Event
My role at A Smile A Day Photography is to capture this story, I will be taking photos of guests entering the event, mingling with other like-minded individuals, and helping tell the story of their future self.
